377 Pine Rivers Fun Runners Step up For ShelterBox

The Rotary Club of Pine Rivers Daybreak’s inaugural Charity Fun Run attracted 377 participants and raised thousands of dollars for ShelterBox, Polio Plus and local charities. Part of the annual Pine Rivers Festival held in the beautiful Moreton Bay region, the event attracted runners young and old, all doing their bit for some very worth causes.

Shelterbox Representative, and Past President of Pine Rivers Daybreak, Brian Springer hailed the success of the event, ” a lot of hard work went into organising this Fun Run and it’s very rewarding to see so many people take part. As well as benefiting RI’s incredibly successful Polio Plus programme we’ve raised enough to sponsor 3 ShelterBoxes and help some deserving local causes. We’re already planning next year’s run, which promises to be bigger and better!”
